Shadows and Blacks
Generally the term Shadows and Blacks is used for mentioning black and white photography. But for me, shadows and blacks are as important as being a picture itself. Usually bridal photographers tends towards glamorous lighting and over stuff the pictures with several photographic lights. But I see more charm in a picture having shadows and blacks as much as glamorous lights making a 3 dimensional picture. The ambient light either its less or ample enough, placing the subject directional to available light, and making nice shadows and embracing the black punches Coffee Cloud’s work to the level which is shown at our facebook page.
Our photography is more about our artistic insight and visualization of a complete picture after looking at the person and the features need to be enhanced or vice versa. The dress, the makeup, the backgrounds, foregrounds, the color of light, the direction of light and several other aspects, this is what we are usually looking at. The visualization lets us decide where to start the shooting from and where to end. And the visualization of a scene even for post processing of any specific wedding photo shoot or bridal makeover session we exactly know when and where to start the editing and where to end in photoshop.
These pictures are best examples of work depicting how we play with shadows and blacks and merge them with available light. This shoot is one of my favorite photo shoot in Islamabad.
